Ewelina Kosmal jest absolwentką krakowskiej Szkoły Artystycznego Projektowania Ubioru. Projektem "Brave New World" zdobyła nagrodę specjalną w prestiżowym międzynarodowym konkursie World of WearableArt™.
Konkurs WOW® to międzynarodowy konkurs dla projektantów, łączący modę i sztukę. Co roku bierze w nim udział kilkadziesiąt tysięcy osób z całego świata i walczy o nagrody o łącznej wartości ponad 160 000 NZD.
“Project “Brave New World jest próbą odpowiedzi na pytania “czy istnieje inny świat? A może inny świat nas czeka? Dokąd zmierzamy? Biorąc swoje źródło z “tu I teraz”, będąc świadomym bycia na skraju światowego przełomu i zmiany sił, komunikuje możliwości I rozwiązania. W projekcie nie ma przypadkowości. Każdy element stroju jest multikulturowym komunikatem” - tłumaczy polska projektantka.
“Przedstawienie postaci jako swego rodzaju istoty wyższej, potężnej, świętej daje nadzieję na rozsądek i ochronę. Jednak zakryte usta nie komunikują kierunku zmian. Obiekt intryguje i prowokuje pytania, nad którymi nie myślimy na co dzień. Będąc swego rodzaju prorokinią, jest odbiciem naszych refleksji, nadziei, strachów” – dodaje pytana o zamysł i koncepcję projektu.
